Tolland Green Learning Center begins our program with early education. We offer a Preschool Program for 3-year-olds and a Kindergarten Readiness Program for 4-5-years-olds. Both programs offer a developmentally appropriate classroom with 2 teachers and a small class size of 14 children. The CT Elds (Early Learning and Development Standards) are woven into our daily curriculum. Our hands on developmentally appropriate activities provide opportunities for our children to develop social, emotional, physical and cognitive skills. Our children obtain these skills through the design of their classroom, support from teachers and peers, walking trips around our community, and use of our two outdoor play areas, the playground (large climbing equipment including swings and a pirate ship) and our meadow (large grass area for ball play, parachute and large group activities). It is Tolland Green Learning Centers' desire to encourage and excite children's curiosity in the hope of creating a lifelong desire to learn.
We are a learning, exploring, joyful community centered on the discovery and need of children who are three and four years old. We provide a full schedule of activities that stimulate the mind and body, so your child will never have a dull moment. Our curriculum is always age-appropriate and ensures that your child is both learning and having fun when they are with us.
Before and After School programs are available for children currently enrolled in half day Kindergarten up to 5th grade. The program is available from 6:45-8:45am and 3:50-5:45 pm, as well as providing care on Early Release days. Buses transport children from TGLC to Birch Grove and Tolland Intermediate.
Our summer programs will inspire your child to explore, create and discover in a way that is uniquely theirs. TGLC offers Summer programming for children aged 3 to grade 5, from mid-June to mid-August. Our Summer Fun program offers children the opportunity to move, play, and get messy while they explore the world around them.

Tolland Green Learning Center is a program of the United Congregational Church of Tolland. TGLC is a state licensed, non-profit program. We are non-sectarian and do not teach religious doctrine. Our program exists to serve the educational and childcare needs of children and their families in the Tolland area. We offer multiple programs for children 3-12 years old throughout the year. The Center is located on the Historic Tolland Green behind the United Congregational Church of Tolland.
