Our mission at Tolland Green Learning Center (TGLC) is to provide a stimulating environment that will enhance the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of each child. We provide a nurturing, professional staff that has love, enjoyment of, and respect for children. We hope this will help each child develop a healthy self-image, have positive social interactions with other children, and nurture a curiosity of learning.
Tolland Green Learning Center (TGLC) was established in 1982 by the United Congregational Church of Tolland with the goal of providing a high-quality and affordable early education program for children in and around Tolland. Our program is not religious; we do encourage respect for cultural, racial, economic, and spiritual diversity. Our program celebrates the joy of discovery, while teaching respect, compassion, cooperation, responsibility, and the importance of community. We work hard to create a supportive partnership with families that will contribute to each child's academic and personal growth.
We are a learning, exploring, joyful community centered on the discovery and need of children who are three and four years old. We provide a full schedule of activities that stimulate the mind and body, so your child will never have a dull moment. Our curriculum is always age-appropriate and ensures that your child is both learning and having fun when they are with us.
Before and After School programs are available for children currently enrolled in half day Kindergarten up to 5th grade. The program is available from 6:45-8:45am and 3:50-5:45 pm, as well as providing care on Early Release days. Buses transport children from TGLC to Birch Grove and Tolland Intermediate.
Our summer programs will inspire your child to explore, create and discover in a way that is uniquely theirs. TGLC offers Summer programming for children aged 3 to grade 5, from mid-June to mid-August. Our Summer Fun program offers children the opportunity to move, play, and get messy while they explore the world around them.

Tolland Green Learning Center is a program of the United Congregational Church of TollandTGLC is a state licensed, non-profit program. We are non-sectarian and do not teach religious doctrine. Our program exists to serve the educational and childcare needs of children and their families in the Tolland area. We offer multiple programs for children 3-12 years old throughout the year. The Center is located on the Historic Tolland Green behind the United Congregational Church of Tolland.
